DeanHouston+ has more than 30 years in B2B marketing, with four offices across the country – Cincinnati, Chicago, Los Angeles and Nashville. Our Cincinnati office is looking for a Payroll Admin Specialist responsible for maintaining employee and payroll records as we continue to grow as a company.

We have found great fits with Payroll Admin Specialists who have the following characteristics:

Detail-Oriented – When it comes to an organization’s payroll information, there’s no such thing as “small details.” You should be somebody who enjoys spotting irregularities in the records that others would miss.

Organized – We’re a fast-paced company with several offices and you’ll need to keep everything on the same page while multi-tasking on a regular basis. Because you will be responsible for payroll, benefits and employee information, organizational skills that can produce quick answers to questions is critical.

Trustworthy – Obviously there’s a tremendous amount of trust needed when you’re handling sensitive employee and payroll information. We believe in always doing the right thing and never cutting any corners, so you’ll be held to a high standard.

Job Duties:

Managing HR/Payroll System – You will set up new hire onboarding and processing, making sure benefit enrollment is completed accurately. You’re also responsible for PTO alignment through our systems (ADP Workforce Now and Workamajig) and maintaining personnel files.

Payroll Administration – As a member of the American Payroll Association, you will help process exempt and non-exempt payroll, manage quarterly tax filings, set up new tax entities for remote employees/other offices and process/distribute W2s.

Benefits and Workers Comp Administration – You will process new hires, terminations and benefit changes, oversee bill payments, assist with our health app program and help with any open enrollment questions and carriers. In rare instances, you will manage workers comp claims and payment of WC invoices.

Office Administration – Celebrations starts with you! You’ll help with gift ordering for employee celebrations (wedding, babies, etc.) and ordering for client lunch meetings. You’ll also be needed for more mundane tasks around the office – phone extension changes for staff changes, troubleshooting phone issues and helping employees with shipping packages.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3+ years payroll processing experience with multiple state/taxing locations
  • ADP Workforce Now experience a plus
  • Human Resource administrative experience (specifically benefit administration) a plus
  • Workamajig experience a plus
