DeanHouston+ has more than 30 years in B2B marketing, with four offices across the country – Cincinnati, Chicago, Los Angeles and Nashville. Our Cincinnati office is looking for Marketing Manager responsible for building relationships between DeanHouston and client accounts. You will help develop the strategic marketing plans for your clients, as well as take responsibility for our team executing the plan and evaluating success against objectives/KPIs.

Personable – You will be the face of DeanHouston for your clients. Our outstanding service sets us apart and is the reason behind our growth the past three decades. The client is the center of our universe and as the main point of contact, you need to be personable and build a long-term relationship with them. Your client should want to go to lunch with you even if you aren’t talking business.

Organized – It’s a fast-paced industry and you’ll need to keep everything (and everyone) on the same page. Because you will be responsible for your clients’ costs with DeanHouston (billing review, reports and budget tracking, to name a few), organizational skills that can produce quick answers to clients’ questions are critical.

Curious – Our clients tend to be manufacturers or service providers in the industrial/B2B space. We don’t expect you to come into the position knowing a lot about their specific market(s), but you should be somebody who enjoys learning new things. You’ll quickly immerse yourself into your clients’ products and markets – learning everything you can. You’ll do background research for strategic sessions, creative briefs and general relationship development.

Analytical – Great marketing is part-art and part-science. You should enjoy diving into data to analyze how campaigns are performing and how things can be improved. We want to be armed with as much information as possible to make educated decisions and recommendations.

Job Duties:

Building the Business – You’ll be responsible for identifying and advocating for opportunities to grow the client’s business. That means leading all large project presentations to clients, working with the DeanHouston team on new project and/or new prospect development and providing a responsive day-to-day relationship with your clients.

Managing Budget and Projects – Since you will be collaborating with several DeanHouston departments (creative, media, content, web development, etc.) on projects, you will help lead projects from beginning to end while keeping everything on budget. You will determine budget, develop cost estimates and secure client approval and purchase orders. You will be the liaison between the DeanHouston team and client, making sure timelines are met and the client is happy.

Strategy – You’ll get in on the fun part too. You’ll co-lead the development of marketing growth strategies to find how DeanHouston can build your clients’ brands in different vertical segments, channels and territories. You will help brainstorm creative ways to address your clients’ problems and be the final touchpoint before clients see a project’s end result.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or related preferred
  • Marketing Execution: 3 - 5 years’ experience leading the development and execution of effective integrated branding and marketing strategies
  • B2B, industrial/technical marketing experience preferred
  • B2C and retail marketing experience a plus
  • Product marketing and/or product packaging experience a plus
  • Automotive aftermarket industry marketing experience a plus
  • Marketing agency experience preferred
  • Digital marketing experience and knowledge preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
