DeanHouston+ has more than 30 years in B2B marketing, with four offices across the country – Cincinnati, Chicago, Los Angeles and Nashville. Our Cincinnati office is looking for an Accounting Specialist responsible for maintaining our financial transactions as we continue to grow as a company.

Organized – It’s a fast-paced industry and you’ll need to keep everything on the same page while multi-tasking on a regular basis. Because you will be responsible for financial information, organizational skills that can produce quick answers to questions is critical.

Trustworthy – Obviously there’s a tremendous amount of trust needed when you’re handling financial information. We believe in always doing the right thing and never cutting any corners, so you’ll be held to a high standard.

Job Duties:

Managing Transactions – You will verify, allocate and post details about business transactions to general ledger, payables and receivables modules in our accounting system. You’ll also manage accounts payable cash flow, identify outstanding accounts payable invoices for payment remittance and collate supplier invoices into weekly payment runs. DeanHouston uses Workamajig as its accounting software.

Reconciliation – You’ll help with general ledger account reconciliation, as well as look for and provide solutions for accounting and process irregularities. You will help maintain historical records and vendor/client contact information (name, address, phone, email and tax ID number) and make sure current W9 is on file.

Administrative Support – You’ll provide admin support for everything from client meeting lunches to shipping costs – as well as printing and mailing checks, conducting ACH wire payments and meet with company staff as needed to review financial information.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
  • Workamajig experience preferred
